DR. GOHER JOINS BABA

Avatar Meher Baba took His precious Goher R. Irani into His warm embrace on June 30, 2004 at 12:40:15 p.m. in Meherazad. Goher passed away due to congestive heart failure; she was 87 years old. Cremation will be at Meherabad on July 1st at 10 a.m. By Baba's order, her ashes are to be interred on Meherabad Hill by the side of Baba's Samadhi.

" Goher" means "jewel", and the quality of Goher's unique service to her Beloved Master has been a shining inspiration to all who came to know her. Both disciple and doctor, she brought to life Baba's precept of "selfless service". As Baba's personal physician, she cared for Him with total dedication night and day, as well as tending to His beloved Mehera and the resident mandali. How fortunate she was to have lived with Baba and served Him until the very end.

In more recent times, Goher reached out with great love, kindness, warmth and compassion to all who came in her contact. This naturally included not only the Baba-family but also the local villagers, who she lovingly cared for through the Meherazad dispensary for over 30 years.

In dearest Goher's life of love and service, and in the countless number of hearts she touched, Beloved Baba has given His lovers a sublime example to cherish. His jewel will be sorely missed.

Mohammed the Mast reunited with Baba

The following message was received today from Dr Goher and the Mandali

"Mohammed Mast, one of Avatar Meher Baba's five favorite masts, left his physical form on June 17, 2003 at 5:22 p.m. He passed away in his room at Meherabad from complications due to a stroke. He was at least 95 years old.

This charming and volatile God-intoxicated soul had a unique place in Baba's Advent: a fifth-plane mast who was also an almost continuous member of Baba's ashram from 1936. In later years, sitting on his chair on the Meherabad verandah absorbed in God, Mohammed gave generations of Baba-pilgrims the matchless chance to meet one of the Avatar's most "beloved children." His radiant, warm, uplifting presence will be deeply missed, and with his passing a special chapter of Meherabad history comes to a close.

He will be buried on June 18th at 11 a.m. at lower Meherabad in the spot designated by Meher Baba.

AVATAR MEHER BABA KI JAI!"

Bal Natu is Called Home

"On October 7, 2003 at 1:20a.m., Beloved Avatar Meher Baba's very dear Bal Natu was finally called to his Beloved and peacefully passed Home.

Balaji passed away at Meherazad due to complications from his recent surgery. He will be cremated at Meherabad today at 11a.m.

Our dear friend of The Friend will be deeply missed, and the glimpses he gave of his heart's continual conversation with his Beloved Awakener will continue to light up the hearts of the multitude of Baba-lovers from East and West whose lives he touched.

Avatar Meher Baba ki Jai!"

Dr. Goher Irani
